WHAT IS THAILAND LONG-TERM RESIDENT (LTR) VISA?
Thailand LTR Visa is a program that grants you to stay in Thailand for 10 years. The 10-years visa is divided into two 5-years terms. Applicants will be granted the initial permission to stay in the country for 5 years which can be extended for 5 more years. The total length of stay shall not exceed 10 years.

What are the requirements for Thailand Long-Term Resident Visa?
LTR Visa is offered to the four following categories:

- Wealthy Global Citizens
- Holding at least USD 1 million in assets.
- Personal income: min. USD 80,000/year in the past 2 years.
- Investment: min. USD 500,000
- Wealthy Pensioners
- Applicants must be retired and be over 50 years old.
- Personal income: min. USD 80,000/year.
- If personal income is between USD 40,000/year and USD 80,000/year, applicants must invest min. USD 250,000.
- Work-from-Thailand Professionals
- Personal income: min. USD 80,000/year in the past 2 years.
- If personal income is between USD 40,000/year and USD 80,000/year in the past 2 years, applicants must have a Master’s degree or own intellectual property or receive Series A funding.
- Company in operation for at least 3 years with combined revenue of min. USD 150 million in the last 3 years.
- Min. 5 years of work experience over the past 10 years.
- Highly-Skilled Professionals
- Personal income: min. of USD 80,000/year in the past 2 years.
- If personal income is between USD 40,000/year and USD 80,000/year in the past 2 years or before retirement, applicants must have a Master’s degree in science and technology or special expertise.
- Business: higher education, research, specialized training, or Thai government agency.
- 5 years of work experience in the targeted industry.
or categories 1, 2, 3, and 4: Health insurance: min. USD 50,000 coverage or social security benefits insuring treatment in Thailand or at least USD 100,000 deposit.
- Spouses and dependents (legal dependents)
- Children under 20 years old.
- Maximum 4 dependents in total per one LTR Visa holder.
- Health insurance: min. USD 50,000 coverage or social security benefits insuring treatment in Thailand or min. USD 25,000 deposit.

- Work-From-Thailand Professionals: minimum personal income of USD 80,000 per year in the past 2 years.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS
The procedure to apply to Thailand LTR Visa is as follow:
- Register and submit an application online for qualification endorsement and supporting documents.
- Applicants will be notified of the result within 20 working days after having received complete documents.
- Once the applicant receives a positive result, she/he may proceed with applying for LTR Visa Issuance at the Royal Thai Embassies/the Royal Thai Consulate overseas or Immigration offices in Thailand within 60 days from the issuance date of the endorsement letter.
- Collect the Digital Work Permit at the Department of Employment at One Stop Service Center for Visa and Work permit.
The 20 working days start from the moment the immigration officers deem the application complete (one can expect a few back and forth on documents). From experience, officers do make a decision within the 20 working days
Proof of income must be supported by duly translated tax returns.

The processing fee for the 10-years visa with multiple entry is 50,000 Baht per person. The processing fee to maintain digital work permit is 3,000 Baht per year.
