The Vanuatu Citizenship Development Support Program (DSP) grants citizenship in return for a one-off, non-refundable donation to the Vanuatu government, and it is the only citizenship by investment program in the Asia Pacific region. The donation is USD 130,000 for a single applicant, USD 150,000 for a married couple, USD 165,000 for a family of three, and USD 180,000 for a family of four, plus USD 25,000 for each additional dependent, on top of a USD 5,000 due diligence fee.
The main applicant must be over 18, with no maximum age, and an application can include a spouse, dependent children up to age 25, and parents. Vanuatu citizens travel visa-free or with visa on arrival to over 100 countries and may apply for an online or one-year multiple-entry visa for Australia. Vanuatu is a tax haven with no personal income, corporate, withholding, capital gains, estate, wealth, or gift tax. The whole process takes 2 to 3 months from submission to passport handover.
