Lawyer in Athens, Greece Greece

This is a full-time position for an Immigration Lawyer based in Athens, Greece. The Lawyer will be tasked with providing legal advice, notably on Greece immigration programs, preparing and filing various immigration applications and petitions, and representing clients in legal proceedings.

Your main duties will be:

  • Provide legal advice on Greek immigration matters to clients.
  • Prepare and file immigration-related applications and petitions.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings and hearings.
  • Assist clients with visa applications, residency permits, and citizenship processes, including the Golden Visa program.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
  • Submit applications to the relevant Greek public entities and ensure proper follow-up and communication with these entities.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and other legal professionals.
  • Provide support and/or advice to the Business Development team in serving clients on immigration cases and in preparing certifications, agreements, affidavits, case reviews, and related documents.
  • Support any other ad-hoc projects as directed by the Partners or Senior Associates.

Requirements

  • Lawyer duly registered with the Greek Bar Association.
  • 2–3 years of experience preferred.
  • Experience in immigration preferred.
  • Understanding of immigration laws and regulations in Greece preferred.
  • Advanced English proficiency; knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly about many different programs and projects and to follow up on multiple cases.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively apply theoretical knowledge to practical cases.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, patient, analytical, flexible, eager to learn, hard-working, efficient, dynamic, and ambitious.
  • Professional manner and strong communication skills.

Working Conditions

  • Contract Duration: 1 year, renewable.
  • Probation Period: 2 months.
  • Working Time: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
  • Workplace: Greece, with possible business trips to other countries.
  • Salary: Negotiable based on the candidate's experience.
  • Performance and Year-End Bonuses: According to the Company's policy.
