The main applicant and all dependents aged 16 or above must provide police certificates from:
- Their country of birth.
- Any countries of additional citizenship.

Due diligence
All applicants aged 16 or above undergo rigorous due diligence checks to protect the integrity of the Naoero Citizenship by Investment Program.
Checks are conducted by:
- Compliance Officers of the Naoero Program Office.
- The Naoero Police Force.
- Independent international due diligence firms specializing in anti-money laundering (AML) and background verification.
Interview requirements
- The main applicant must attend an interview conducted by a due diligence firm commissioned by the Naoero Program Office.

Due diligence process

What happens after a Nauru (Naoero) citizenship application is approved?
Oath/Affirmation and Certificate of Citizenship issuance The certificate of citizenship shall be conferred to an applicant after he or she has taken the oath or affirmation of allegiance. Where a person is not able to take an oath or affirmation of allegiance in person, they may take such an oath or affirmation of allegiance by audio-visual link; or before a notary public or any other person prescribed to administer oath or affirmation in any other jurisdiction. Passport issuance The applicant will provide a duly certified copy of the Passport Application Form. This is the final step in the application process.
